Christmas Faux Calligraphy

✂︎ It’s time to dive into the world of Faux Calligraphy! What better way to do that than with our new Christmas wrapping paper workshop! Join Flo of Lovinga Designs and begin learning the art of decorative handwriting and lettering.

Faux Calligraphy is about mimicking modern calligraphy, with the main difference being the writing tool. Faux calligraphy is considered an easier technique as beginners can achieve the same beautiful ‘look’ of calligraphy by using everyday writing tools, without having to learn how to use brush or dip pens.

Here in this workshop Flo will teach you the basic modern calligraphy strokes focusing on posture and breathing exercises, helping translate letters into words. You will learn the basic foundations, knowledge and understanding, around modern calligraphy, arming you with the ability to develop your own beautiful style. Then comes the fun part! Use these new skills you have learnt to create your own unique Christmas wrapping paper! Jazz up your presents by adding that beautiful homemade touch, making your gift giving experience that more special.

Floryntina, or Flo, has always loved beautiful handwriting. Even in todays digitally driven world she still prefers to take the analog route and admires the sentimentality of written pieces.

Flo began her learning journey of calligraphy in 2019 where she was immediately hooked! Her hobby turned addiction had her practicing day and night, experimenting with many different mediums and surfaces including engraving and hot foiling.

Today Flo specialises in acrylic signage, place cards for events and on site brand activations including engraving and luxury ink calligraphy. She absolutely loves helping to elevate your special day and gifting experiences.

A: Unfortunately our workshop tickets are non-refundable and unable to be rescheduled due to our busy calendar and even busier workshop facilitators. COVID-19 cancellation requests may be rescheduled upon consultation with our Claude St Team. Workshop tickets must be paid in full upon booking. A: Yes, we do offer private workshops as well as space hire for functions. Visit our Private Functions page for more information and fill out our enquiry form for a tailored package to suit your function needs.

A: Yes, you may bring your own food and drink, or we can cater for you. Please be aware our catering is limited to individual cheeseboards, cake, sparkling wine, tea & coffee.

We have glassware, cutlery, urn, water jugs and crockery available for use. Our kitchen also features a microwave and conventional oven, available for use upon request. All food and drinks must be removed upon completion of function and a cleaning fee of used glassware etc will be included in the price of the space hire. A: No you don’t have to clean up after your workshop, our team will pack up for you.

A: We are able to reschedule a private function as long as we a minimum of two weeks notice is given. As our calendar is very busy, we cannot guarantee a specific date when rescheduling.
