✂︎ Run out of school holiday activity ideas? We haven’t. Head on over to Claude St and join Renee of (W)renscape Creations!
Renee will guide the kids through creating two of their own notebook covers, giving them exclusive access to (W)renscapes hand-carved mini botanical stamp set, inspired by WA’s plants, leaves, buds, blossoms and fruit.
The kids will have the best time using the mini stamp set printing different patterns, creating their own unique designs. Not to mention the hot choccies and morning tea! At the end of the workshop the kids will have a personalised notebook to take home and fill with all sorts of leaves and blossoms found in the garden. The activity ideas just keep on giving with this one.
* Kids must be 8 years old and above, carers are welcome to stay for the duration of the workshop but not required.
Renee was born in Albany and raised at Chillicup, near Broomehill, in the Great Southern. She grew up surrounded by the wonders of the Western Australian bush, though it was time away studying in Sweden that made her realise just how unique our Australian flora and fauna really were.
After studying Interior Architecture, she was active in the design industry until taking a position teaching Architecture and Interior Architecture at Curtin University, which continues today. This background gave Renee strong drawing and graphics skills, and an understanding of conceptual design, all of which inform her current (W)renscape printmaking practice.
Renee is a passionate creative educator, running creative workshops and community arts facilitation. She also works in the realms of graphics, illustration, interior and landscape design, while continuing to research and teach at Curtin. Her botanical homewares are sold by stockists across the state while she continues to exhibit her printwork regularly.
