✂︎ Welcome to our beginners crochet workshop with our crochet master Kerry! Join Kerry in learning the basic skills and stitches to start you on your granny square blanket journey. A quick definition, the granny square is a series of crochet clusters and chains worked into square form, often varying in colour and often using left over wool from previous projects.
Kerry will teach you the basic skills and stitches needed to make your granny squares from scratch! These include how to hold your hook and yarn creating tension, basic stitches, weaving in ends, changing colours and joining squares together. You will finish the class with a completed granny square (or squares) using the yarn provided. These will give you the basis to be able to continue working on and creating your granny square blanket at home.
This workshop is beginner-friendly with no previous crochet experience required, what to bring you say? Just a fun “can do” attitude and willingness to learn something new.
