Here at Claude St we like to use the old saying
"it takes a village".

It takes a village to run this place and it has taken a village to get it here. We have transformed an old mechanics garage into a lush, beautiful workshop space with the help of many people along the way.

And to those “many” people, our deepest most sincere thank yous,  you know who you are. Welcome, to our village.

At Claude St we hope to bring together like-minded creatives with an amazing array of knowledge and skills.

Our aim is to pass on this knowledge to others no matter the skill level and have them leave our space feeling confident and inspired.

Our warehouse is made up of the Claude St workshop, and Nod, an independently run contemporary art space operating with the support of Claude St and The School of Critical Arts.

Basically, there’s a lot going on. Just the way we like it.

Meet the Team

Not just a bunch of pretty faces that’s for sure. Meet the smiley team that is Claude St.

Let’s. Do. Everything.

The ideas woman behind Claude St. If you’ve ever met this wonderful lady, you will know what we mean when we say there’s a lot going on. Passion, drive and enthusiasm emanate off of her, ideas flow so fast its hard to keep up! If you haven’t figured it out yet, yes, she is the one responsible for the Claude St vision, “Let’s. Do. Everything.”.

Shellie has been a small business owner for over 28 years, the knowledge and skills she has in her field, well… fields, she likes to jump around a bit, is second to none. This lady knows something about everything and will pay forward her knowledge to anyone who is willing to learn a thing or two. Our advice, pull up a chair, you may be here a while.

Molz, our marketing wiz and professional problem solver. She likes things to look a certain way and will slave away until it looks just right. This gal loves her job and boy she’s good at it.
Molz is the daughter of Shellie, our director and the voice behind our Instagram. She keeps everyone and everything in check. Basically, she’s bossy. But the good kind. Right?

Events & Workshops Coordinator

Renae is our professionally trained florist and (self-appointed) stick specialist! Give this lady a good stick, piece of bark or a rusty wire and she will give you a one of a kind masterpiece. Want to make something interesting, or a little left-of centre? Renae’s workshops are the one’s for you.

Renae, or Deans, as she goes by if the matter is of some urgency, often goes on a baking frenzy. If you’re lucky you may get some goodies at one of her workshops.

Is there anything she can’t do? We don’t think so.

Events & Installations

Temby, as he is affectionately called, is a very patient man.
He is a retired farmer from the wheat belt and qualified mechanic and welder. He makes amazing bespoke installations and shop fittings for hire companies and shopping centres and is pretty partial to a meat pie.
David is surrounded constantly by very creative women who ask him to build crazy things, all the time. That’s where the patience ties in. Seriously though, he built Claude St from a scribble on a napkin. Legend. With an amazing ability to build almost anything, he is our secret weapon.

Cuddle Monster

Miss Lady Marmalade, or Lady for short is a Poochon. A what now? A Poochon! A Poodle x Bichon Freise and she is super bloomin’ cute.
Lady loves a cuddle and a scratch and is an all around feel good addition to Claude St. Her very important duties include chasing toys and not bringing them back, receiving tummy rubs and doing zoomies around the warehouse. She also loves a shopping trip to Bunnings, along with the rest of us!
See Lady for a cuddle at our next workshop!
